YOUR ROLE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

The fundraiser that changed my world

The fundraiser that will change a lot of worlds

I wish I was like superwoman who could save anyone and everyone in need, but unfortunately I am no such woman. I am a 25 year old on a mission to give a little comfort to the minds of social workers, unwed mothers and foster mothers who are all taking care of children in need of necessities.

I can only take 50% of the credit for the success of my last fundraiser. Without all the people who donated, the fundraiser would have been a failure. I am so amazed by the people I am surrounded by- the adoptees who care about others more than themselves, the supporters who unconditionally care about the project I create and my family members who have shown the ultimate form of patience throughout my darkest times. The fundraisers become successes because of all of YOU.

I know all of you could not see the grateful looks on the employees' faces at the ESWS ceremony, but I assure you they were thankful. Some cried while others were in shock of the size of the truck that pulled infront of the building. This is all thanks to all of you who donated and cared for a really small project I thought up in my head on December 31st. I know I have brothers and sisters out there who care about the children being cared for in the agency right now. Politics and personal views aside, they are children and their parents made a sacrifice and now they are a part of our community.

I am more thankful though for every single person who took the time to care about me when I needed you. I am who I am thanks to all of you and I will never take credit for my success as a young adult without first mentioning that I had great guidance from my community. I have the ability to think of others because when I only thought of myself, others thought about me.
